A child’s future takes shape in their earliest moments, and relies on opportunities to learn and grow at key moments during early childhood development. That’s why we deliver a widely reputed program for children and their families, beginning at the moment a child is born. Our dedicated educators guide children through hands-on learning activities and a constantly growing set of innovations, such as mental health support and exposure to the arts. Our model is informed by New York’s Common Core learning standards and the nationally recognized Creative Curriculum, which ensure that children gain the early literacy, math, and cognitive skills they will need to succeed in Kindergarten and beyond.
Parents and caregivers play a vital role in shaping the education and development of children, so we partner with families by employing the nationally designed Parent Family Community Engagement Framework.
Parents work with us to learn about resources and techniques that can support their children’s education at home. We also support caregivers to advance toward their own academic and professional goals so they can be the best advocates for their children. Workshops can include ESL, vocational training, child care classes, and “Parent as Teacher” lessons, which provide in depth insight into daily lesson plans for parents to better incorporate them at home.
