We are seeking a Public Relations Intern to support the Communications team at Sheltering Arms, one of New York City’s foremost nonprofit human services organizations. This is a key opportunity for a student or recent grad to put their skills to the test by publicizing important agency news while inspiring support for the critical mission of Sheltering Arms.
Sheltering Arms has already made headlines in top media such as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, WNYC, and NY1 for our leadership in the field, our impressive results, and innovative events across the city. Our PR intern will help us take our media strategy to the next level with more research, journalist cultivation, and press releases. In this role, the intern will have the opportunity to expand their professional network, hone relevant skills, use top industry technology, and build a solid portfolio of real PR work. The position is unpaid, but counts for university credit.
Email a resume and cover letter to Kathryn Klopp, Director of Marketing, at KKlopp@ShelteringArmsNY.org. Due to the large volume of applicants, we may not be able to respond to every inquiry. Candidates selected for an interview will be contacted directly.
