Infant mortality rates are high in New York’s low-income communities where many moms don’t have the resources or access to proper prenatal and neonatal care. They face risks other moms don’t – from food deserts to unsafe or unstable housing and inaccessible health care, diapers, and supplies. We help make sure our moms never have to risk their own health or their baby’s health because of high costs or scarce resources. Take a look inside our Maternal/Child Health Program and meet the partners who are helping us save lives for low-income, high-risk babies and their families.
